Bio: Kennedale High School’s Kenaj Washington ranked fifth out of 223 students in his class with a 4.43 GPA on a weighted 4.0 scale. He earned a total of nine varsity letters between powerlifting (four), football (three) and track (two). In powerlifting, he placed eighth at the 2021 UIL Class 4A State Championships. He was the 2021 regional champion and had three top-7 regional finishes.

In football, Washington was a 2021 first-team all-district selection at running back after averaging more than 7 yards per carry as a senior. In addition, he served as team captain and was a member of Leadership Council.

Washington, who scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT, has also earned AP Scholar with Distinction accolades. The recipient of the school’s Principal Award in 2021, he is the senior class president, a member of the Key Club and a UIL Academic Team member.

Among his community activities, Washington volunteers reading to children at the Lake Arlington Public Library and also has volunteered with Mission Arlington and Joe Mestasana Ministry.
